Visit State Parks for FREE on Black Friday

Looking for something to do on Black Friday that does not involved storming a shopping mall at 4am? Look no farther then your state parks! On Friday, certain states across the county-- including Oregon, Washington, New York, Minnesota, Indiana and Arizona-- are offering free passes to their state parks.

Instead of participating in the craze of Black Friday, you could be exploring the outdoors. States all over the country are pushing #OptOutside by offering freebies to encourage people to spend a day in nature, and hike off that extra piece of pumpkin pie. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said:

”On Black Friday this year I urge New Yorkers to get outside and to take advantage of the world-class parks in every corner of this state, By offering free admission, we encourage families, nature-lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike to enjoy the unparalleled natural beauty right in their backyards.”

By hiking or hanging out in a state park you to enjoy the outdoors, which is something that we all can do. Get to know the state parks in your backyard this Friday. This is an amazing opportunity to hangout in nature and it’s free!
