Administrator Wheeler Signs MOU Agreement with ACC
The American Conservation Coalition (ACC) joined Administrator Wheeler today for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement between the EPA and ACC. The agreement outlines numerous ways of partnership between EPA and ACC, including the involvement of more young environmental leaders in the EPA’s programs. Specific projects include the EPA’s Trash Free Waters, Winning on Reducing Food Waste, and America Recycles Day.
ACC President Benji Backer said: “ACC is delighted to be working with the EPA on important projects to improve our environment. Environmental progress is important no matter where it comes from, and the EPA plays a vital role in protecting our environment. Administrator Wheeler and his team will be important allies for the environmental movement moving forward.”
ACC is encouraged by this positive step forward. The agreement lays the foundation for cooperation between the two groups, and provides opportunities for future collaboration on important environmental initiatives in the future.
