Bring America’s Power Grid Into The 21st Century

BEST Act (H.R. 2986 & S. 1602):

The bipartisan BEST Act is sponsored by Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) in the Senate and Rep. Bill Foster (D-IL-11) in the House. It would invest $60 million each year for five years into modernizing America’s electrical grid and storage technologies, making energy costs cheaper and supply levels less volatile.

By promoting private sector innovation in flexible, durable energy storage systems, the BEST Act would help ensure an economically and environmentally sustainable energy grid.
